Fundraising Activities Including Massage Sessions
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is preparing for its annual fundraiser, the Harvest Hoedown. It is this Sunday in Crazy Woman Square. This fundraiser auctions off local goods and services, ranging from massage sessions to fly rods, to benefit several charities and nonprofits. Overhead costs for the Bread of Life Food Pantry and the Suicide Prevention Program are just a couple of organizations that benefit from the proceeds.
A barbecue dinner and live music by Prairie Wildfire make the event something the whole family can enjoy. You can purchase tickets by contacting the church office at 684-7529 or the Mansion House.
It has only been a few years since I came to Buffalo to work for the summer, and with each passing year, my roots grow deeper. Seeing the people who work to make our community what it is come together to support others in need makes me even more certain that this is a place that I am proud to call home.
